HIRE VETS Medallion Program Gold Award Recipient

U.S. Acting Secretary of Labor Julie A. Su recognized Global Skills X-Change (GSX) as one of the 859 recipients of the 2023 HIRE Vets Medallion Award during a virtual award ceremony presented by the U.S. Department of Labor. GSX earned the gold award for the 3rd consecutive year! The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans.

“Receiving the HIRE Vets Gold Award for a third year in a row is a testament to our unwavering commitment to supporting veterans and their families,” said Dave Wilcox, President & CEO of Global Skills X-Change. “With veterans, active military, and military spouses accounting for approximately 30% of the GSX workforce, we remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting veterans and their families, and, as a veteran myself, I recognize how critical it is to understand the challenges of transitioning to the private sector.”

GSX joins 858 other companies from 49 states, plus the District of Columbia, who have shown a commitment to hiring veterans, but also ensuring that they have a long-term career and growth plan that uses the diverse skills they acquired through their military service.

Recipients of the 2023 HIRE Vets Medallion Award meet rigorous employment and veteran integration assistance criteria, including:
