Melinda Rose, MBA

Melinda is part of the program management and analytics team at GSX that serves both the public sector and private industry. As a Level 4 Functional Analyst, she engages stakeholders with strategic-level guidance and constructive dialogue to address their concerns and improve their experience, while creating an inclusive and supportive environment that promotes excellence. Her program assignment supports the training council with validation of its training standards from the community perspective requiring multiple engagements to ensure alignment with stakeholders. As a former coordination officer for the Chief Learning Officer for U.S. Department of Defense policy, Melinda lends her extensive experience and research capabilities to provide valuable perspectives on current policies that are under review.

Melinda’s initial journey at GSX was between 2008 and 2017 where she held multiple roles in the organization. Her responsibilities encompassed client engagements and management by providing strategies for certification initiatives. She provided onsite support and managed the delivery of high-stakes exams to candidates seeking to earn professional credentials. She ensured the smooth and successful operations of multiple certification programs by facilitating candidate management, and providing administrative and technical support to program development, delivery, and reporting functions meeting the standards set by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). In support of the credentialing industry, Melinda also served on the Federal Interagency Working Group, sponsored by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and the NCCA Standards Revision Committee.

Aside from her experience at GSX, Melinda served as administrative faculty at the National Intelligence University (NIU), collaborating with stakeholders to streamline processes, improve program efficiency, and enhance the overall academic experience for both faculty and students. She administered special projects and provided board management for NIU’s Board of Visitors. Her career began in higher education as an Assistant to the Dean and an instructor of accounting and information technology at Radford University.

Melinda holds an MBA and bachelor’s degree in accounting from Radford University.
